It's possible to connect your iPhone/iPod Touch to your computer wirelessly without needing a Wifi router! This is a trick you can use to use our MIDI software with your laptop in a Live setting, where you may not have access to a Wifi network.
NOTE: These instructions only work in Mac OS X for now, instructions for Windows may be possible later.
On your Mac, in the upper right of your screen, you can see the Airport connection indicator:

From here, select the Create Network... selection as seen above. A window will come up asking you to name the connection, and choose a channel. You can just use the defaults here:

Hit OK, and you have finished setting up your computer.
On the iPhone/iPod Touch, launch the Settings application (the icon with the gears). Select "Wi-Fi". In the "Choose a Network" section, you should see your computer's connection listed. Choose it to connect!
Your computer and iPhone/iPod Touch are all set and configured!
